How many player names do I have
to enter? |
|
You need to enter at least 9 and as many as 13 player names. |
| 2 |
How many max innings per position
do I need to let them play? |
|
You need to enter a number of 1 or higher. The lower the number,
the more positions players will be assigned to. This variable must
be considered in conjunction with the number of positions you let each
player play (with the check boxes). If you only let a given player
play one or two positions, but then you set the max innings per position
to low number (like 1 or 2) you will obviously get an error as this is
impossible to accomplish. Players are assigned to the bench in an
equal manner. |
| 3 |
What if not all of my players
are showing up in the generated lineup? |
|
Make sure that the "Use" column next to their name is checked.
This box must be checked for each player to be considered. Uncheck
the box to eliminate them from consideration.. |

What if I want to take into account
the number of innings that players have already sat out in previous games? |
|
Use the "Out So Far" column. Enter the number of innings they
have sat out previously. The players that have sat out the least
will not be placed on the bench until every player is equal again. |

What if I don't like the lineup
generated? |
|
If you hit the "GENERATE LINEUP" button again, you may get a different
lineup that still conforms to the same inputs. Lineups are generated
and opened in new windows, so you can generate as many as you like for
comparison. |
| 6 |
What if I just want to make a
minor change to the lineup generated or want to switch the innings around? |
|
The lineup is totally editable before you click the "GET FINAL OUTPUT"
button. For example, you could switch two players around, etc.
Also, the inning order can be modified. Simply type the actual inning
numbers you would like into the inning number fields. When you get
the final output, your changes will be present. |

What does the TRY 1, 2 etc. mean
before the lineup is generated? |
|
This is a measure of how difficult your lineup is to generate.
The fewer the number of boxes that are checked in your input grid, the
harder it is to generate. Also the lower the "max innings per position"
number is, the harder it is to generate. The numbers are shown to
give you an idea of whether you can alter your inputs and still get a successful
lineup. |

I want to generate a new lineup,
can I start with the same inputs I used to generate last week's lineup? |
|
Yes. You need to enable cookies in your browser. Every
time you generate a lineup, your inputs will be saved as a cookie.
Your last set of inputs are always what you start with. |
